Tesco

The Client

With over 2,500 stores worldwide Tesco is one of the world's leading international retailers.  The Native Agency was appointed by the Tesco Communications team in late 2006 to help devise a campaign as they sought planning permission to develop a major site in Linwood.

Our Approach

Tesco were keen to become more involved in community consultation and wanted to work much more closely with the local residents.   And so Native created the ‘Love Linwood’ campaign to excite local residents, to involve them as much as possible in the regeneration of their community and to place Tesco in the driving seat of positive regeneration.

The campaign, which included the launch of an online portal website, is well underway and is being very well received both locally and in the national news.

Native also developed the ‘Linwood Regeneration Partnership’ concept and branding which has led to Tesco being dubbed a ‘saviour of Linwood’; with the announcement that Tesco will be moving into the town being enthusiastically received by Linwood residents. 

Tesco, as part of the Regeneration Partnership that will see the arrival of a library, a health centre and a community hall, will create in excess of 400 new jobs for the town.

Continuing to work closely with Tesco, Native is in the process of launching creative exhibitions that will detail future plans for Linwood.
