The John Smith Memorial Trust was formed in 1996 in memory of one of Britain's best-loved politicians. John Smith was the leader of the Labour Party in the United Kingdom at the time of his sudden death in May 1994. The Trust, a registered Charity, not a party-political organisation, has been repeatedly acknowledged by The Rt. Hon. Tony Blair.
The Native Agency was asked to provide a strategic communications review with a recommendations report for the Chairman, Lord McCluskey, and the Trust Board.
Following this consultation Native was then asked to implement the recommendations which included an overall re-branding, an updated yearly review and a secure web portal to allow the fellows to continue to communicate in privacy once they have returned home to their various countries.
For a number of years The Native Agency has played a major role in the development of the Trust. As part of a number of activities Native was commissioned to produce audio and visual communications. We have also helped with the fundraising, event organisation and introduction to key networks.
